Bio:
Renee Lorton's experience spans over 30 years, including roles as CEO (TaxLAB, Centrifuge Systems), EVP/GM (PeopleSoft, Cognos), Global CIO (PwC) .
She most recently provided board and advisory services to early and mid-stage technology companies. She is a limited partner and served on the investment committee of Belle Capital, USA, an early stage VC fund focused on investing in women-led tech companies across the USA .
In her operating roles she specialized in financial software development, big data analytics, product and market strategy, branding, messaging, customer relations, and operations, She has been twice recognized as one of the 'top 100 most influential people in Finance' by Treasury and Risk Management magazine and has been regarded a thought leader and industry spokesperson on BI/Analytics, Big Data, security solutions, and corporate compliance and risk management solutions.
Ms Lorton began her career as a CPA/Tax consultant for Deloitte Touche. She was founder and CEO of TaxLab, a tech start-up that automated personal and corporate tax return preparation. Intuit acquired Tax Lab technology and incorporated it as the original foundation for TurboTax.
Ms Lorton holds a Masters in Taxation from Georgetown University, Bachelors in Accounting and Finance from Purdue University.
