Join us at Brooklyn's Timeout Market on Saturday, May 17th, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM for the launch of Tanoreen: Palestinian Home Cooking in Diaspora, a new cookbook by celebrated chef Rawia Bishara, owner of the iconic Brooklyn restaurant Tanoreen. This highly anticipated book invites readers to experience Palestinian cooking in the diaspora with influences from her roots in Nazareth to her life in Brooklyn.
The event will feature a conversation with Rawia Bishara and her daughter Jumana about the stories and inspirations behind the recipes, ranging from traditional dishes passed down through generations to inventive creations shaped by travels around the world. Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy delicious samples of recipes from the book, showcasing the vibrant, cross-cultural cuisine that has made Tanoreen a culinary landmark.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to The Middle East Children's Alliance, which works to protect the rights and improve the lives of children in the Middle East through aid, empowerment, and education.
