About this event

"Talking at the Speed of Light" is an educational journey for all ages! The group will meet at 5 PM every other Thursday to learn and practice American Sign Language. In between the meetings, participants can use the library's Rocket Sign Language app at home. Then all can practice together when meeting again.

Are you ready to start your interactive journey toward American Sign Language (ASL) fluency? Let us be your guide! We’ll start by learning the fundamentals of ASL and the differences between sign languages around the world.

You’ll learn a bit about the Deaf community, get some tips on how to start signing clearly and effectively, and even learn some basic signs.
