Sound Circle: Unity Through Group Music Making

Come join us for an evening of group music making at our event, SOUND CIRCLE! Located at Inner Alchemy Sanctuary and Studio in West Seattle (3618 SW Alaska St) we'll gather to create sound and music together.

The Sound Circle is an expressive music group where we come together to explore connection, creativity, and healing through sound. In this supportive space, we will use our voices, our bodies and a plethora of instruments to create unifying music together—no musical experience required.

This is an invitation to play music—to tap into your natural sense of curiosity and intuition as we co-create music in the moment. Through deep listening and responsive interaction, we’ll build trust in ourselves and one another, fostering a sense of community and presence.

Rooted in free improvisation, somatic and mindfulness-based music therapy practices, and ancient sound healing traditions, we will be singing, drumming, toning, and improvising as a group. This can open doorways to extraordinary states of consciousness such as creative flow, trance, or ecstatic awareness—each offering space for emotional expression, release, and self-healing.

All are welcome, regardless of musical background or skill. Bring your own instrument or use one of the many provided.

Lead by local somatic therapist / musician Chris Lott, LMHCA, bandleader for Wall of Ears.

Frequently asked questions

Should I bring my own instrument?

Yes, if you have an instrument you want to play, please bring it! Otherwise there's plenty of provided instruments. It's best to avoid complex set ups though, so acoustic instrumentation is encouraged. If you have questions, contact Chris through chris@syzygy-therapy.com and we can figure it out!
