To expand solar access to Americans who have been left out of the growing solar market, including our most underserved communities, the U.S. Department of Energy's SunShot Initiative is launching a new Solar in Your Community Challenge.
Offering $5 million in cash prizes and technical assistance over 18 months, the Challenge encourages communities to work together to create replicable, innovative business and financial models that expand solar to low- and moderate-income households.

Applications for participation are due March 17, 2017 - applicants must submit a three-page written application, a short video (sample video here: ), and a short public-facing summary that describes your project and/or program's impact.
