SHADOWDARK SUMMER
The Torchbearer Guild calls for aid to delve into forgotten places and uncover the lost secrets of The Gloaming!
This is a special TTRPG Event series for the Level Up Games Athens location using the Shadowdark rules. Shadowdark is a dark fantasy tabletop role-playing game created by Kelsey Dionne that captures the nostalgic old-school charm (the Old School Renaissance) of traditional dungeon-crawls from Dungeons & Dragons while introducing modern, streamlined design and contemporary mechanics to be more accessible and engaging. The game is fast, familiar, intuitive, and deadly.
Our design goals for these linked Events are simple:
1. No experience with Shadowdark or RPGs is required!
2. You may join ANY session!
3. You do not have to play in a previous Event(s) to participate. Join any time!
This unique design of linking together Events are inspired by and will contain the following:
• The game is set in The Gloaming, a misty, demon-haunted forest and swamp, as detailed in Cursed Scroll #1 - perfect for dark fantasy adventure and exploration!
• Adventure sites are persistent: If your group clears out a troll lair, that troll is gone from the setting.
• All Player Characters (PCs) are persistent (unless they perish!).
• All new PCs will begin at 1st level.
• Pre-generated characters will be provided, and these may be used if your PC meets an untimely end during an Event.
• Player Characters can migrate between Game Masters and other Events in this series.
• Your Player Character can leave notes, perhaps of warning, for the next Events’ PCs!
Our hope is to continue this into the future for other, future Shadowdark Events at Level Up Games Athens based on participation. Our table rules will evolve accordingly!

Cost: Event will have a charge of $5 for pre-registration. This fee will be given back as either a credit or gift card upon check-in to the Event with the organizer(s).
