Noir at the Bar

Come join 8 short-crime-fiction writers at Elaine's when they read 8-minute noir stories. Elaine's will hold its 6th Noir at the Bar on the eve of ShortCon, the premier short-crime-fiction writer's conference. Attendance is free.

Readers: S.J. Rozan, Jeffrey Marks, Tom Milani, Elysia Whisler, Peter W.J. Hayes, Chris L. Robinson, Deb Merino, and Mark Bergin. Moderated by thriller author and Elaine's owner, Jeffrey James Higgins.

Elaine's won Best Martinis and Best Egyptian Food in Alexandria and was the runner-up for Best Fine Dinning in 2025. It's also an OpenTable Diners' Choice. Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the event.
