A movement and dance space where we create a culture of connection and creative expression in a safe container.

Let us gather in circles, like humans have done for millenia. Let us connect with ourselves first, and then with each other, as is our nature. Let us move together, in creative expression, so we can thrive. Let us hold each other in authenticity and in safety, to build community.

Let us explore duos, trios, and more, coming together as a group and moving apart, all in a safe, playful container. Where we take care of each other, co-regulate, co-create and have fun.

What emerges, when people come as they are, and meet in movement?

We leave the week behind us and our shoes at the door, enter the space in our authenticity and drop into our own body.

As we gather together in circle to witness one another and honour what each brings, we’ll set intention.

The first half of the evening will begin structured with playful, curious connection exercises to learn and explore safety in the language of touch and movement.

You will have the opportunity to connect with individuals and the collective, as we gently open up into a free-flow exploration of dance and movement. Relate with others in this non-verbal space of co-creation curiosity and authenticity. Laugh, cry, shake, roll, be in stillness, be in bigness, be in your full expression with others.

Closing the evening we will take time for integration and reflection as we end in circle.

Safety and Inclusion

People of all backgrounds and identities are fully welcome. The space has step-free access, with 3 steps to the toilets.

Consent is fundamental to this container and practice. In this space we encourage people to take care of their own needs and boundaries. Respect other participants’ autonomy and expression. Moving in Circles invites intimacy, but not sexual behaviour.

The Space

The 58th Scout Hut is a warm, spacious hall with inviting wooden flooring that is perfect for movement. We will provide teas and treats and a cozy squish space for relaxation.

There is limited on site parking, good bus and bicycle access.

Testimonials

"This is my second Moving in Circles. They really are a joy. Each event is very special and unique, with every person bringing their own blend of magic that weaves into the tribe that gathers together.
I feel very fortunate that we have such adept facilitators in Treasure and Maja. They help us to integrate and provide a safe space with permission to be exactly as we are. I love Maja’s grounded in nature approach and Treasure's soft and strong energy. Both are infectious!
If you are even slightly curious I recommend trying. You will be shown a warm welcome 🙏" -Sarah

“This was my first experience and will not be my last. The facilitators create a safe space where connections flow through dance and touch. I felt liberated, at one with myself and free to express myself unhindered by self doubt. Totally enjoyed the whole evening. Thankyou” - Deborah

“This event was everything I needed from a dance and community contact event. 100% recommend. The space was cosy and warm and was brilliantly held. Also attracted the best people from the dance / CI community - such a wonderful evening with the best people.” - Megan

"A welcoming, nourishing and loving container where people connected without words and spoke instead with bodies flowing in movement, touch and the practice of really seeing each other. There's something deeply human about the space Treasure and Maja helped facilitate." -Nathan

Your Facilitators

Maja and Treasure met in dance and their relationship grew through community movement practices. This continues to be a passion and core value in their personal and professional lives.

They combine their experience in embodiment and movement practices, facilitation, and passion for dance and connection, to create Moving in Circles, a space for people to connect authentically through movement and dance.

Maja is a caring space holder who strongly believes in the power of authentic intimate connection, as well as the body holding intelligence, this being the key to our well-being and happiness.

After studying Psychology at University, she adopted a holistic and embodied approach to health and personal development. Maja trained in various body work therapies, energy healing modalities and Traditional Tantra & Hatha Yoga TTC, and is currently in training to be a Somatic Educator for Women.

She is a professional bodyworker, yoga practitioner and facilitator. Fifteen years of energetic and somatic practices have supported her personal, spiritual and professional work. A passionate dancer, embodiment practitioner and therapist, she has run workshops at events and festivals for several years.

Treasure’s passion is connection: helping people relate better and lead richer lives. Their aim is to hold comfortable and empowering spaces for touch, movement and intimacy, with a decade of successful teaching, hosting and facilitating.

Treasure comes from a dance and embodiment background. They are a qualified Acroyoga instructor and Cuddle Therapist. They lead workshops in partner dance and partner acrobatics and draw influence from their experience in wheel of consent training, massage, play fighting, shibari, contact improv and various different dance styles. They have been hosting cuddle parties and intimacy jams in Bristol and at festivals since 2022.
