Beyond the corporate world, JD has had the privilege of learning from some of the most renowned writers of our time. He has received advanced writing training from best-selling authors like Stephen King and his high school classmate Tess Gerritsen, author of Gravity, the inspiration for the Oscar-winning film. JD’s dedication to the art of storytelling led him to study extensively under masters such as Robert McKee and Michael Hauge, where he refined and seamlessly integrated their storytelling philosophies into a cohesive and accessible framework for writers of all levels.

JD’s journey into the book-writing world began with coaching prominent memoir writers, ghostwriting biographical works, and consulting with military and intelligence officers on their non-fiction “tell-all” books. Eventually, JD turned his focus to a story deeply rooted in his own experiences: the life of a psychological operations officer and his wife, an agent for Israel’s Mossad. To ensure the protection of sensitive details, he sold the rights to the novel as a “fictionalized account of a true story,” skillfully navigating the complexities of storytelling while safeguarding its authenticity from prying eyes.
