Instructor: Carole Wurst


Carole will knit a sock on a standard gauge knitting machine from top to bottom. Includes a hem top (false rib) top, heel shaping, toe shaping, and hand finishing including kicthener stitch.


This demo will be followed by show-and-tell by members of the Central Minnesota Fiber Arts & Machine Knitting Guild. Show-and-tell will include machine knit items, hand knit items, crochet and other textile and fiber arts projects.


If time permits we will finish with a round of Knitting Bingo. Prizes will be offered.


Participants do not need to bring anything to this class. A knitting machine is not required. Look for other events offered by Rocking Horse Farm where participants can bring a knitting machine for hands-on work.


Yarn and machine knitting supplies will be available for purchase on site. New and used knitting machines are also be available for sale on site.
