About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Join us for the third of six free educational virtual sessions for the El Dorado County community! This session is 30 minutes longer than a typical CASE session, extending it to a full hour of in-depth presentation and dynamic, engaging conversation.

Join us for an open and judgment-free discussion guided by a diverse panel including a facilitator, substance use experts, and a health equity advocate with cultural insight as we explore how cultural values, social pressures, and emotional stressors influence when, how, and why people choose to drink. This conversation aims to build understanding around alcohol use while creating space for anyone to reflect, share, or just listen.

We’ll explore questions like:

How does culture influence our relationship with alcohol?

What are common coping mechanisms in our families or communities?

How do stress and connection play a role in our choices?
