Frequently asked questions

What is LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® exactly?

Lego Serious Play is a facilitated meeting, communication and problem-solving methodology created by the LEGO® group in 1996 to help business leaders improve creative thinking and communication. By utilizing visual, auditory and kinesthetic skills, LSP unlocks the power of individuals and groups.

Will lunch be served?

While this event is hosted around the lunch hour, food won't be provided. However, the library allows food and covered beverages in the meeting room, so feel free to bring your lunch!

Will you try to sell me something?

Nope! This event is geared towards adults who want to learn more about the methodology, introduce others to it, or become a trained facilitator themselves. I will have some business cards on hand for anyone interested in bringing a workshop to their business, school or club!

Can kids come?

This isn't your typical "kiddo" playtime, it's for adults to activate their hand-mind connection as a means to improving communication and problem-solving skills. That being said, if childcare precludes you from coming, please bring them! There will be plenty of bricks to go around.

Do you have to be a skilled Lego builder to join?

Absolutely not! Even if you've never picked up a Lego in your life, this is a space to learn and practice simple builds that employ story-telling and metaphor.
