The Freedom Walk will take place at the bust of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Sculpture next to the Human Rights Institute. This walk will serve as a symbolic journey honoring the resilience, resistance, and triumph of those who fought for liberation. This guided walk will reflect on the long path from enslavement to emancipation and beyond—reminding us of the ongoing struggle for equity and justice.

Following the walk, we will gather for a Juneteenth Convocation in the Little Theater, an opening ceremony filled with reflection, celebration, and purpose. The convocation will feature speakers, performances, and a collective moment of remembrance and empowerment.
