About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Our world is ever changing, and we should be as well. After the pandemic our world has become increasingly open to addressing mental illness and/or substance use diagnoses more openly. The world has experienced isolation, loss of community and has pivoted to reengage from online to back in person living. We would like to discuss the possibilities of well-functioning recovery spaces. This webinar will discuss concerns and benefits of alternative recovery spaces, how families can support their loved ones’ independence and recovery, and the role peers could potentially play in well-functioning recovery spaces.

Organized by

The NFSTAC is led by the National Federation of Families, a family-run organization, in partnership with the Partnership to End Addiction and Boston University. The Center’s approach is anchored by the underlying principle that families play a vital role in supporting their loved ones and are the experts regarding their family support needs.

The National Family Support Technical Assistance Center (NFSTAC) supports families whose children experience mental health and/or substance use challenges across the lifespan by offering resources, technical assistance, and training to the workforce, organizations, and communities that support them.
