Learn how to open and operate a licensed home or center-based daycare — step by step. This workshop covers LLC setup, EIN, business banking, licensing, ORRCCA, CPR/First Aid, parent/staff handbooks, inspection prep, grant resources, and more!

What should you bring?

Please bring a laptop for hands-on activities. If you don’t have one, a computer lab will be available. Also, bring a positive attitude and be open to learning — this is a space to grow, connect, and take action!

What does the $500 registration fee include?

Your fee includes: • CPR & First Aid Certification • Business & licensing training • Startup templates (handbooks, checklists, etc.) • Lunch and refreshments • Ongoing mentorship (valued at $1,000+) • Grant & funding resources , LLC & Ein registered.

Do I need experience to attend?

No experience is needed! This workshop is for aspiring or new daycare providers looking to start strong. Whether you’re opening a home daycare or center, we’ll walk you through it step by step.

How should I prepare for class ?

Have your aspiring business emails set up. Know your business name. Passwords you would like to use 15 characters long for registering LLC.

Will lunch be provided?

Yes, lunch and light refreshments will be provided. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions when registering.
