When's the last time you sang a silly song to yourself? Danced like nobody was watching? Banged on the table just to feel the beat?
Too often we stifle these impulses because they're just not polite or appropriate, or they don't fit into our current place in this modern world. Or we feel like we need to behave like "grownups" instead (whatever that means). Well, that might be the case for some of the time, but you are still a living breathing human with an inner child yearning to play.
Which is why I am starting this collective! Let's meet up and I will guide you through a musical experience designed to let it all out and march to the rhythm of your own beat: your heart.
About the organizer
Gabriela Rojas has 13 years of experience as a music educator, 9 years in the field of music therapy, and is an advanced yoga instructor. They love sharing their joy for music almost as much as seeing someone light up while reconnecting with the playful spirit we often lose growing up.
Heartbeats Music Collective is a group that will meet regularly for these types of events, so be sure to follow this profile for the latest.
This will be a free event with a suggested donation of $10 at the door. Street parking is free. This event is intended for adults to reconnect with your inner children, so please leave your real children at home.
