MAKE YOUR OWN DECORATIVE PAPERS & HANDMADE BOOK

Come join us at the Art Annex with guest instructor Andre Lee Bassuet!

Students will first learn to make decorative papers using the suminagashi and paste paper methods. Then we’ll use our own papers to include in softcover stab-bound books with basic bookbinding tools. No prior experience necessary.

Price includes ALL meterials, including fine art papers from Paper Connection

All ages welcome; students under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult. A minimum of 4 students/maximum of 8 students.

Discussion topics: history of paper, suminagashi, bookbinding

Demonstrations: suminagashi and paste paper demo, stab-bound book

In-Class Activities: make your own decorative papers and at least 1 book.
