About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

The real challenge of writing a story happens after you've created the characters and the setting--and perhaps an interesting conflict--but then you hit a wall: "What happens now?"

At this stage of the process, it's great to take a step back and gain a greater understanding of plot and story structure. In this one-hour Craft Conversation, I'll introduce you to several helpful ways of conceptualizing plot structure and help you explore what approaches will work best for your story and your writing style.

We'll look at both traditional and non-traditional modes of plotting, and you'll leave the discussion bubbling with ideas for how to create a stronger plot structure in your work-in-progress.
