Business Leaders,

Please join us for our next Business Leaders of the Triangle gathering at The Sheraton Imperial Hotel Lobby. It's a great place to meet--there's a coffee shop, a bar, and plenty of places for us to gather.


We are a dynamic group of business owners, executives, coaches, and professionals in the Raleigh-Durham area looking for opportunities to impact our community in a positive way. Our monthly events provide a time for us to gather together, support one another in our businesses and learn from one another across industry lines. The small group format allows us to truly make meaningful relationships and find ways to help each other.


We believe everyone has something to offer others:

  • Information to Help Complete a Project
  • Advice or Support on a Project or Thorny Issue
  • An Introduction, Connection, or Referral
  • A Specific Skill or ability that you have training on
  • A source of training that would be helpful for someone else
  • A Second Set of Eyes on an important presentation or document
  • Share Best Practices as a person with a different experience/perspective
  • Suggestions for vendors, software, products, etc
  • Resources that would be helpful, even book or podcast recommendations!

The agenda follows:

5:30-6:00: Open Networking and get a drink at the bar.

6:00-6:15: Group announcements and guided round-table discussion: We will get to know each other, and Tom will lead us in asking one another how we can help.

6:15-7:30: Open Networking.

All Business Leaders of the Triangle events are fundraisers for Alex's Lemonade Stand. As you register, you will be prompted to enter an amount for your donation--the amount is up to you, however, we have suggested donations based on $50 funding 1 hour of cancer research.

Reminder:: All donations are matched 4x (so $25 becomes a $100 donation to ALSF), up to $3,000!! Together we can have a tremendous impact for this important cause.

Why Should I Attend?

You want to build meaningful relationships with others in the community. You want to serve others. You enjoy meeting people and learning about what they do. You want to network. You like supporting childhood cancer research.

What is the format for the event?

Typically, we open with group discussion around a prompt, or we have a group member give a presentation. We then break up into smaller groups of 4-5 people for networking. The question we ask each other is "how can I help you in your business?"

I'm not sure I'd be comfortable at a networking event.

Don't worry! We know it can be scary to show up to a new group, especially if you're new to networking. Our small group guided discussions keep the atmosphere friendly and unintimidating.

Will attending this event help me get leads/get me a job/find people to buy my product?

Beneficial connections are made at every meeting, and we have had members help each other out with leads and valuable introductions. However, this group exists to find ways to help others, not merely ways to help yourself.
