Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be experienced in yoga or paddle boarding to participate?

No experience required! We will teach you the basics of paddleboarding safety and navigation, and then you will be guided by a certified yoga instructor to perform a variety of beginner yoga poses. More experienced yogi's will have the option to take more challenging variations of the poses.

What is the minimum age requirement?

Minimum age is 14. Anyone under the age of 18 requires a parent or legal guardian to be present.

What should I wear?

You may choose to wear a bathing suit, shorts, yoga attire, or whatever is most comfortable for you! We do not recommend extremely loose items, as it could interfere with your experience.

What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate?

If the weather doesn't cooperate, we'll cancel two hours ahead of time and let you know and post on our Facebook page. You will receive a full refund. This could include stormy weather, unseasonably cool conditions, or when the river is too high or low to paddle safely.

Do I need to be able to swim?

Yes, for your own personal safety, please be sure that you are able to swim and able to float above water in the rare event you fall off your board. But don't worry, our instructors will be nearby to assist you if you happen to fall off !

What do I need to bring?

All equipment will be provided. We recommend you bring your own sunblock, hat, water bottle, water shoes (highly recommended), a dry bag if you need to take anything on the water with you, and towel. If you plan to bring your phone on the water we also recommend you put that in a waterproof case.

Will I get wet?

Well, only if you fall ;) ...or if you want to paddle through the fountains intentionally. Otherwise, we will provide instruction away from the fountains and you will then be able to paddle within a designated area, but you are able to paddle around the fountain sprays, even when they are spraying!
