Receive practical and hands-on training through both lecture and interactive breakout sessions over this two-day workshop.


Target:

REI fellows, OB/GYN residents, and anyone interested in increasing their knowledge of assisted reproductive technologies and IVF


Objectives:

Critically appraise the female and male gametogenesis processes, and the variations during IVF stimulation.

Understand the ART/IVF procedures, including ultrasound monitoring, egg retrieval, semen processing embryo culture,and embryo transfer.

Learn the basics of fertility preservation: Indications andstimulation, for fertility preservation, and hands-on experience in sperm and egg cryopreservation.

Familiarize with the IVF laboratory equipment such asincubators, microscopes, micromanipulators, culture media,and cryopreservation systems.

Receive practical training in essential ART/IVF techniques suchas semen analysis, sperm preparation, ICSI, embryo biopsy,vitrification and warming of embryo, embryo culture, and embryo transfer.
