Dear Friends,

For the Muslim faith, Ramadan is the holiest and the most significant month of the year. It is a time for fasting during daylight hours, prayer, charity events, and self-reflection. As well as being the month of fasting and spiritual growth, Ramadan is the month when Muslims, along with their family members, reach out to friends, neighbors, communities from various cultures and religions, get together at Iftar, the evening meal with which Muslims end daily the Ramadan fast at sunset, and share conversations with them.

The Niagara Foundation, The Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, Congregation Beth Judea and St. Raymond De Peñafort Catholic Church are organizing an Interfaith Iftar Dinner program on Saturday, April 15th at 6:45pm.

We would be honored to have you at this Interfaith gathering together with community and religious leaders from various communities. We will enjoy music, presentations by youth from each of the three faiths, as well as comments from each of our partner organizations.
