About this Event

Join Ali Feller, host of the Ali on the Run Show, as she sits down with Lauren Fleshman, Mary Wittenberg, Lindsay Crouse, Jen Ator and Alison Désir to discuss all things women's running.

Lauren Fleshman is a former professional middle-distance and marathon runner. She competed for 13 years and is now a coach for Little Wing Athletics, the co-founder of Picky Bars, and co-host of the Work, Play, Love podcast.

Mary Wittenberg is the president of the EF Education First cycling team and the former president and CEO of New York Road Runners.

Lindsay Crouse is a writer and producer for The New York Times, where she covers a variety of topics in depth, including women's distance running. Most recently, she produced the groundbreaking piece about Nike's maternity leave policies, including interviews with former Nike athletes Allyson Felix, Kara Goucher, Alysia Montaño, and Phoebe Wright. Crouse is an 11-time marathoner on a quest to run an Olympic Marathon Trials–qualifying time.

Jen Ator is the editor-in-chief of Women’s Running. She previously served as fitness director of Women’s Health for 10 years, where she oversaw the brand’s fitness and active lifestyle content across all platforms.

Alison Désir is an endurance athlete, activist, and mental health counselor. Named by Women's Running as one of 20 women who are changing the sport of running and the world and by The Root 100 as one of the most influential African Americans ages 25 to 45, Alison is the founder of Harlem Run (an NYC-based running movement) and Run 4 All Women. Alison recently wrote the foreword for Running Is My Therapy, by New York Times best-selling author Scott Douglas. When Alison is not running, she is working to resolve—and speaking passionately about—issues related to women, girls, and mental health.

Ali Feller is the host of the Ali on the Run Show podcast. With more than 1.8 million downloads to date, the Ali on the Run Show features conversations with inspiring people—from professional runners to back-of-the-pack runners and everyone in between—who all share a passion for the sport. Ali is also a freelance writer and editor, a runner, and a new mom.
