Achieving Measured Airtightness in the New Code World

Massachusetts’ base code for both commercial and residential buildings now require air leakage testing to demonstrate compliance. And the air leakage limit is no joke: 0.35 cfm / per square foot of building enclosure area at 0.3” (75 Pascals) of pressure. That’s really tight! For larger projects in Stretch-Code communities, the Passive House Compliance pathway may be the most feasible compliance path – but allowable leakage in this pathway is

How on earth will we meet these air leakage thresholds?!

This NEXUS event will feature a panel of seasoned professionals who can explain how to plan for-. design, and construct buildings that will meet these tight air leakage requirements. Attendees will learn about

- the wonderful array of modern air barrier products available to us,

- what you should look for in construction drawings to avoid pain in the field,

- construction processes and problem resolution practices with proven success,

- how your testing agent can help you see the invisible and why you need them earlier than you think,

…and much more!
