A Moment in Time: Grief and Loss, Gathering and Healing A soulful experience of remembrance, release, and renewal

Step into this space as you move forward on your healing journey. For an evening designed to honor the journey of grief and celebrate the healing power of connection, creativity, and compassion. In a safe and supportive environment amongst others that are also grieving and experiencing loss. Whether you are grieving the loss of a loved one, a pet, a relationship, a dream, or any other type of loss that you have experienced. Healing Has Options and this event is for you!

What to Expect: During the event Dee Dee will offer guidance and tools one may use while on the journey of healing one's grief. You will also be entertained and moved by Music, Spoken Word and Poetry written and perfected by Dee Dee. She’s invited a few special guest performers to join her for the night as they create an atmosphere of love and opportunities to through entertainment.

We will welcome the ancestors into the space, we will journal, we will talk and so much more!

What to Bring: Please bring an open heart, a willingness to be vulnerable, and most importantly grace. You can also bring a picture of a loved one to place on our altar.


About the host

Exploring the unthinkable and overcoming obstacles! Dee Dee Watters (she/her/hers) is known for sparking interesting and needed conversations, especially those around subjects like trauma, identity, grief, death and as she would say “each is on the path of one’s healing journey.”

As a healer she approaches the hurt with an open mind, grace and the knowing that “Healing has options!” and it’s all about you, #YouIsSpirit

As a Death Doula she is taking her 10+ years of focusing on the murders and violence aimed at trans and gender diverse folx and is now educating community members on preplanning, facilitating discussions on grief, grieving and death and dying.

As an artist she takes all of these skills and tells stories of her experiences and those of others with a goal of delivering a thought provoking message! She’s a entrepreneur, activist/advocate and author whose work has been spotlighted and featured in multiple magazines, newspapers and online publications like Huffington Post, the Ambassador, Houston Chronicle, OutSmart Magazine, the Observer and many others. She’s also been featured on networks like Fox, Fox News, Nightline, ABC, VICE, HBO and others!
