As you know, due to the spread of COVID-19, BU is moving classes online until Monday, April 13. Dormitories and dining halls will remain open, but students are discouraged from remaining on campus if possible.

For the entire BU community, this brings new challenges, and of course, worries and stress. As we all adjust to new systems and schedules, we want you to know that we’re in this together and that your health and safety is our first priority.

The remaining Idea Open Mic Nights are canceled, but we encourage you to take advantage of virtual programs we will be running through April 13:

Office Hours with Staff and External Experts
Innovation Pathway, our self-paced accelerator will still operate virtually including online orientations, pitch panels, and mentoring.
Industry Lunches, a great way to connect with fellow students who are working on ideas in similar industries.

We will be posting program updates and resources on the following channels:

Website and calendar changes including directions about remote access to certain programs
Emails to Innovate@BU newsletter subscribers
Innovate@BU Community Slack channel
Social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn

Share your idea, get feedback, and leave inspired!

Join us for idea open-mic nights to share and gain feedback on your own ideas, or share your knowledge and expertise to help fellow BU Terriers! These casual evenings are perfect whether you want to be inspired, receive constructive feedback, or want to recruit team members to make your idea happen.

When registering, you can choose between: "I have an idea to share!" or "I'm coming to get inspired!". Attendees who would like to share an idea will be given 2 minutes to briefly share their idea with the audience before breaking out into small feedback groups.

Agenda

6:00-6:15 pm: Check-in, grab some pizza, and take a Pitch Number if you plan to share an idea.
6:15-7:30 pm: Welcome and Idea Pitches/Feedback session.
7:30 pm: Stick around if you'd like to ask more questions or connect with presenters!
