About the Artists
Rahul Kumar Mishra is a gifted Tabla maestro and composer from a renowned musical lineage. He is the son of Pt. Ram Kumar Mishra, grandson of Padma Vibhushan Pt. Chhannulal Mishra, and great-grandson of Tabla Samrat Pt. Anokhelal Mishra. Rahul began his Tabla training at the age of five under his father’s guidance. He has performed solo and accompanied legendary artists like Pt. Jasraj, Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, and Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma worldwide. A pioneer, Rahul was the first Indian to perform a Tabla solo in South Korea, earning widespread admiration. Known for his signature "na dhin dhin na" and numerous prestigious awards, including Taal Pratibha and Taal Ratan, Rahul continues to inspire as a cultural ambassador and a role model for future generations.
