This course will be for the theory portion of the WUIM. The prerequisites (listed below) must be completed and emailed no later than April 26, 2024. Either certificates or transcripts must be emailed to wuiadmin@clearwatercounty.ca.
Students will need to complete the practical portion of the course before they will be WUIM certifed. Three options are available for the practical portion of the course:
Further explaination of these options will be discussed at the theory portion.
- Practical day held at your department, using your equipment. Minimum requirements must be met.
- A large-scale practical held at a central location. Booked by WUI teams. These will be posted on Eventbrite when they are available.
- In the event of another exceptional wildfire season, a possible third option will be discussed in the theory class.
Lunch will be provided. Please advise of any dietary restriction.

· ICS 100
HTC: S-131 online learning modules as follows:
· 3 – fire behaviour fundamentals
· 4 – fire suppression
· 10 – fire line patrol and mop-up
· 12 – helicopter operations
· 13 – air tanker operations
· Fire weather index systems
