Overview

From Tuesday 29th October to Wednesday 30th October 2024, this two-day conference aims to share new research and knowledge from around the world to advance our understanding of mammographic density, a strong and heritable risk factor for breast cancer.

Held every two years, the 2024 conference is hosted by My BReast cancer RISK (MyBRISK) Centre of Research Excellence at The University of Melbourne and the Australian INformation FORum on Mammography Density (INFORMD).

Sessions from Australian and international experts will cover a wide spectrum of topics including biology, measurement and screening, advanced analytics including AI, epidemiology and genetics, public health policy and community engagement. The conference brings together a multi-disciplinary mix of researchers, clinicians, consumers, industry providers, and policy makers.

In-person and online

For in-person delegates, the 2024 conference provides a welcome opportunity to re-connect and meet new colleagues during sessions and breaks (including lunch and dinner), and interact with sponsors and exhibitors. Each delegate receives a conference wallet containing the program, speaker biographies and abstracts upon arrival at the venue.

Our online attendees are well catered for too. There will be a dedicated online conference homepage where you’ll find links for sessions and resources all in the one place, including the program, speaker biographies and abstracts. Cameras in the venue will livestream the speakers and their presentations. You can ask questions of presenters via online chat, and view exhibitor and sponsor information online.

All registered delegates, in-person and online, will receive an email after the conference with a password-protected link to the recorded sessions, which you can view at your convenience.

There are seven sessions across the two days; each approximately one and half hours in length including time for Q&As.
