Institute for Studies in the Meaning of Life, Eureka, CA, USA, invites you to its flagship workshop, What is the Meaning of Life? Based in the beautiful town of Eureka on California's North Coast along the Humboldt Bay, the institute supports academic research on the meaning of life for professional philosophers, and also offers free workshops on this fascinating topic for the general public. The topic will be approached from secular, scientific & philosophical perspectives. The format of the workshop is roughly as follows: There will be a total of three presentations; each presentation will start with a short meditation and be followed by Q&A and open discussion. There will be three individual or group activities. There will be refreshment breaks after each session. Tea, coffee, & light snacks will be provided. Participants can enjoy lunch in nearby excellent restaurants. The workshop is sponsored by the Institute, so there is no entry fee, and donations are not accepted.
