Come, join us for a night of Uruguayan cinema at 85 University Private! We will be screening the fun movie “Carmen Vidal Female Detective” by canadian-uruguayan Director Eva Dans. Carmen Vidal, a private detective addicted to pizza, beer and marijuana, fights against a criminal Senator to avenge the death of her colleague, in a noir comedy about personal improvement with a feminine perspective. and Latin American.

Eva Dans is an Uruguayan screenwriter, director and actress born in Montreal (Canada) in 1984, daughter of political exiles. She’s a graduate from Escuela de Cine del Uruguay and has a master on screenwriting from Universidad de La Laguna/CE- CAN. As an actress, she was a member of the theatre collective Telemando and participated on several film projects. “Carmen Vidal Mujer Detective” (2020) is her feature film de- but as a writer, director, lead actress and producer, which she produced under her production company EVACORP. Eva has a special taste for comedy and genre-mixing films. She currently lives in Buenos Aires (Argentina) where she’s developing her next feature film “Dinora Sin Dinero”.
