Escape the ordinary tourist trail and delve into the authentic Dutch sauna culture with me on an exclusive Amsterdam Sauna Experience at Fort Resort Beemster. As your personal guide, I'll take you on a journey through the serene countryside of Beemster, where you'll discover a side of the Netherlands few travelers ever experience.
When I first moved to Amsterdam, it took me years to uncover the hidden gem of Dutch sauna culture. Perhaps you are in the same boat or are just nervous for your first visit. This trip is perfect for those visiting Amsterdam for just a few days or expats eager to immerse themselves in local traditions as it offers a unique glimpse into the heart of Dutch wellness. Leave the city behind as we venture into the picturesque Beemster landscape.
Unwind in luxurious saunas, indulge in soothing steam baths, and bask in the beauty of clothing-free relaxation, all under my expert guidance. Whether you're seeking a tranquil escape, a chance to connect with like-minded individuals, or simply a taste of authentic Dutch culture, this experience is designed for you.
Join me on this immersive journey and discover a different side of the Netherlands—one where self-care and relaxation take center stage. Limited spots available, so book your Amsterdam Sauna Experience today and make memories to last a lifetime.

It may seem strange at first but no, the Dutch saunas and spas that I visit are clothing and swimwear free. Based on my experience, you may feel nervous at first but you will soon get used to it and realize that everyone is also very respectful.
The tour is a small group that assumes we all leave and depart together in the same car. For this reason, I advise not to make plans before and after the event that are time critical.
The tour is a small group that assumes we all leave and depart together in the same car. If there is complete agreement among the group to stay longer, I am open to discuss the idea.
We meet at The Coffee Bridge, Baarsjesweg 211 Amsterdam. The cafe is located right by tram stop 7 or 17 (stop name Witte de Withstraat).
We will leave at 12.15pm once everyone has arrived and is comfortable. Remember, it's a spa day so its all about relaxing (......but please be on time).
Of course! There are plenty of people here in Amsterdam who want to try a Dutch sauna but don't know where to start, can't drive or simply don't have someone else who wants to try as well.
Great question. You must bring a towel (one or two), a bath robe, plastic flip-flops/sandals and a water bottle. Optional is to bring a book / kindle or journal. Phones and other electronic devices are not allowed. Towels, robes and flip-flops these are available for rent at a cost.
We will change into our robes once we arrive so something comfortable is great. The location provides shampoo, conditioner and body wash as well as blowdryers. Perhaps a brush and some moisteriser for after our spa time.
I happily welcome woman and members of the LGBTQI+ community at the time being. Given many members of the group are nervous about their first 'naked' spa visit, this reduces the nerves.
