"SHIOK" is a common Singaporean slang to say "SHOCKINGLY FANTASTIC." As an example if you discover a new artist you absolutely love you could say "the music is so SHIOK!" SHIOKFEST returns for a 2nd time to celebrate vibrant sounds inspired in sunny island of Singapore at Toekomstmuziek, Amsterdam. Experience a diverse lineup that promises something for everyone, hosted by the incredible songwriter Lincoln Lim.

5 PM - LET'S WRITE A SONG (INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP)

Kicking off the evening is a unique interactive songwriting workshop where you will discover the simplicity and beauty of writing a song from scratch with a random audience! No musical experience required...only your curiosity is needed.

6.30 PM - ABBY SIMONE (LIVE ACOUSTIC SET)

Next up, groove to the soulful tunes of alt/indie pop sensation Abby Simone as she takes the stage with her captivating vocals and infectious melodies. Born in Singapore she moved to Amsterdam a few years ago and his made it her home.

7 PM - BE612 (LIVE ELECTRONIC SET)

Get ready to be transported into the unique musical universe of BE612, a music duo known for their innovative use of looping techniques with live instruments and vocals. BE612 music is infused with a rich blend of cultural influences, with French singer Bénédicte ("B") and multi-instrumentalist Eddy ("E"), who began their journey in Singapore before relocating to the Netherlands.

8 PM - MANTRAVINE (LIVE ELECTRONIC SET)

Keep your energy pulsing will be the psychedelic electro swing vibes of Mantravine, whose fusion of genres promises to ignite the dance floor and transport you to pure euphoria. The Singaporean quartet is no stranger to touring international festivals and Amsterdam is one of their favourite spots to share music on their European journey.

10 PM - IRIS JDT (DJ SET)

Finally closing out the night on a high note is an electrifying DJ set by Iris JDT, as she spins an eclectic mix of beats guaranteed to keep you dancing until the early hours. 5 years ago, Iris JDT relocated to Amsterdam for love and recently embarked onto a journey into DJing, driven by a fervent desire to craft music that ignites movement.
