In a crucial initiative ahead of the 2024 EU Parliamentary elections, the Sustainable Media Lab at Inholland University of Applied Sciences, in collaboration with the Municipality of The Hague and the Central Library of The Hague (CB), announces the launch of fabricated: Unravel Fact from Fiction in your Digital World. This interactive exhibition is aimed at enhancing digital literacy through games and interactive experiences that show the influence of AI, misinformation, and digital algorithms on public opinion and voting behavior. Available in Dutch, English, and German, fabricated will be open from May 13-17 at Centrale Bibliotheek (CB).

You are cordially invited to join us for our official opening of this exhibition before it begins its tour to Brussels, Berlin, and Amsterdam in the lead up to the 2024 EU Parlimentary Elections this June.

Event Schedule:
17:00-17:15: Welcome and explore the exhibition
17:15-17:30: Ribbon cutting by the partners at Inholland, Gemeente Den Haag, and Centrale Bibliotheek
17:30-17:45: Guided tour through the exhibition by co-curators, Andy Sanchez and Susannah Montgomery
17:45-18:30: Lightning Talk by Dr. Ben Wagner about Disinformation and Public Elections with borrel drinks and snacks

About fabricated

fabricated is a travelling exhibition that helps you improve your digital literacy and prepare for the 2024 EU Parliamentary elections. In this interactive experience, you’ll learn about AI-generated news, mis- information, targeted advertising, and more. You’ll also have the chance to share your opinion on how digitisation is changing society. Come play five interactive games to explore your digital world.

fabricated was developed by Andy Sanchez and Susannah Montgomery from the Sustainable Media Lab (SML) at Inholland University of Applied Sciences in partnership with the Municipality of The Hague and the Centrale Bibliotheek.
