This session aims to engage the participants in a reflective dialogue. It will create a safe space for attendees to challenge their own ideas and understanding of the topic.
The session will focus on:
- Understanding diversity
- Multicultural awareness in practice
- Principles of equity and fairness both in law and everyday practice
- Inclusive practice: what it means and how it applies to everyday interactions with others
- Understanding intersectionality – people are not one dimensional
- Understanding privilege and bias
- Tokenism, stereotyping, and pigeon holing
