Let's go on a sound journey..

First we'll tune the trajectory with kirtan. A practice of Bhakti yoga, kirtan is devotional mantra chanting; a meditation on sound vibration, with a spirit of giving and receiving. Chanting mantras has many benefits including cultivating a devotional heart and stimulating the vagus nerve. Share your unique voice in concert and community; cultivate high vibration inside and out.
Then we'll dive inward with a multi-layered sound journey while your body is supported by restorative postures and props. This part of the experience is centred around open awareness and receptivity; not only to the sounds in the room, but also (and more importantly) the messages in your heartmind. The whole is designed to deepen your relationship with the throat chakra--the energy centre of communication. Communication is so much more than what we say or don't say; It is connection with Self, and ripples out to connection with others.

ABOUT DAVID MING
My relationship with sound began through kirtan. Being shy and introverted, sharing my voice in public was quite difficult, but when held by the energy bubble of the kirtan community, I felt free to explore my voice. Through kirtan and throat chakra vocal training, I learned how to express myself authentically, with love and acceptance of whatever comes through. When I chant with a devotional heart, I transcend how I think I'm supposed to sound. Devotional chanting is yoga for the heart. For me, it feels like expressing something deep within that cannot be expressed in another form.
