Edmonton's indie darlings, Scenic Route to Alaska, are dropping their seventh album, "Lasts Forever," on April 12th, 2024, and it's going to be an absolute banger! These childhood pals—Trevor, Shea, and Murray—have been jamming together since 2011, and this time, they're spicing things up with a self-produced masterpiece. With a SOCAN #1 hit and a Western Canadian Music Award, these guys know how to rock. "Lasts Forever" promises a grown-up sound with a playful vibe, exploring love, loss, and nostalgia. Get ready to hit repeat and dive into their prairie-indie magic!

MAJOR LOVE is the moniker of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Colleen Brown - and a collaboration featuring Alberta rock darlings Scenic Route To Alaska. Together, they make soulful folk-rock music for their hoser friends.

Their 2018 debut on Cowboy Junkies’ imprint Latent Recordings (Warner) yielded two singles 'Tear It Down’ and ’So Good’ which were embraced at CBC Radio 2 and enjoyed some initial commercial radio crossover. The album debuted at #19 on the earshot National College Radio charts where it ranked for more than 13 weeks.

2024 sees Major Love returning with the cheeky sophomore full-length “Live, Laugh, Major Love” with distribution through Slow Weather (The Orchard). Recorded at the National Music Centre’s Studio Bell in Calgary, Alberta - with of slew of Randy Bachman’s borrowed guitars on hand - the new album showcases a live band in lockstep, with chemistry to spare. Produced by Marcus Paquin (The National, Julia Jacklin, The Weather Station, Mariel Buckley) these songs thrive at the intersection between Brown’s resonant vocal expression and SRTA’s spirited swagger...music to move body and soul.

'Each element has been carefully placed by an actual human being, which brings an inspiring sense of authenticity...' - uptohearmusic.com
