About this event

Join us for a rejuvenating day filled with self-care and connection! This in-person event is specially designed for highly sensitive people and empaths, providing a safe space to recharge and nurture your unique sensitivities.

Highly Sensitive people and Empaths are often misunderstood by themselves and others. Often the result is that they live in overwhelm, confusion, and struggle to like who they are. A s a way to try to manage, they either take so much responsibility for the people in their life or completely withdraw. Either way, they are often left feeling anxious, depressed, and wonder why things are so hard.

For this retreat day, both the presenters, Michelle and Tracy, are highly sensitive and empaths. They bring deep understanding to these traits, the struggles, the barriers, and also tools and strategies to make daily living meaningful and purposeful.

Time will be spent unpacking the many ways we have been harmed in a world that often doesn't understand us, as well as exploring the many gifts that come with these traits. Throughout the day, you'll have the opportunity to participate in various activities, guided meditations, and interactive discussions tailored to your needs. Our experienced facilitators will share practical tips and techniques to help you embrace your sensitivity as a strength.

Immerse yourself in a supportive community of like-minded individuals, where you can freely express your emotions and experiences without judgment. Discover valuable insights, gain tools for self-care, and build connections that will last beyond this retreat.

Purpose of Group:

Some of us can feel so constrained by the worry that we will disappoint people. This leaves us over-giving, over-analyzing, ruminating. All of this is so exhausting.

In this group we will take a deep dive into why some of us are pleasers. This is often a combination of personality, family dynamics, and the behavior that others expect of us.

This 4 week group will give you more clarity on why you are in this behavior of people pleasing, what the limiting beliefs are that help this behavior continue, the impact of others expecting you to be like this, and how to start changing in a way that takes care of you more.

Structure of group:

  • Education on people pleasing
  • Large group discussions
  • Small group discussions
  • Journaling

Participation is at the level that feels right for you

Topics of the group:

  • How people pleasing kept us safe
  • How terrible it feels at the idea of disappointing someone
  • The shame that we can feel when we don’t meet the expectations others have of us
  • What are fair expectations?
  • Why it’s hard to say no and how to still do it
  • How different relationships make people pleasing so complex
  • How to break this pattern within your family of origin

Start and End date:

  • June 13-July 4, 6:30-8:30
  • In-person
