About this event

Grab your mates for Perth's original Rail Cocktail Trail. Visit four of Perth's premiere venues along the Fremantle railway line at your own pace through this self-guided cocktail experience.

Y ou'll visit:

  • Republic of Fremantle Distillery;
  • Spirit of Little Things Distillery;
  • Besk Bar; and
  • Pirate Life Brewery

Start at any venue (although we recommend starting at either Perth or Fremantle), where you'll receive your Rail Cocktail Trail Passport, to claim your cocktail at each venue. There's a selection of three cocktails aligned to the "heart and soul" of the venue you're visiting. From a a locally produced gin cocktail at Spirit of Little Things to something unique from the craftsman at Besk Bar, there's a sweet, savoury and sour option for everyone at every stop!

You'll run the trail at your own self-guided pace, visiting each venue and claiming your cocktail, with the option to purchase more drinks and food along the way. Groups can commence the Rail Cocktail Trail at any time, but we recommend between 3pm - 4pm to allow for sufficient time to complete the trail and avoid capacity constraints at some venues. Enjoy!

Frequently asked questions

What time does the Rail Cocktail Trail commence?

You have the flexibility to start your trail at any time, but we recommend starting mid-afternoon around 3pm, to allow sufficient time to complete the trail and relax along the way. Note: Spirit of Little Things liquor licence ceases at 10pm.

What days can I complete the cocktail trail?

The Rail Cocktail Trail is available at venues on Friday's and Saturday's.

What order do I visit the venues along the trail?

You can visit the four venues in any order, however, we suggest you start either in the CBD at Arara or in Fremantle at Republic of Fremantle and make your way down the Fremantle railway line.

How do I claim my cocktail at each venue?

When you arrive at your starting venue, you'll receive a Rail Cocktail Trail passport which you must provide at each venue to receive your cocktail.

What happens if I can't complete the cocktail trail on a particular day?

If for some reason you cannot complete the cocktail trail, such as one venue being at capacity when you visit, you can return in subsequent weeks to claim your cocktail, up to one month after the date of purchase.

What happens if I lose my Rail Cocktail Trail passport along the way?

The passport should be treated as "cash". Supplying the passport to each venue is the only way you can claim your cocktail, so keep it safe.

No, a valid ticket must be purchased to travel on the Fremantle line railway. Alternatively you could make your way to each venue using your own transport.
