Welcome to Quesnel Shows Up: Honouring Strength & Resilience in an Unregulated Drug Poisoning Crisis! Join us June 13th & 14th from 8:30am-4:30pm at the Quesnel & District Senior's Center as we come together to celebrate the strength and resilience of our community during this challenging time. This free event is an opportunity to learn about how Quesnel is keeping it’s community safe, and what you can do to help! Let's show up and support one another as we navigate through this Unregulated Drug Poisoning crisis. Together, we can make a difference and honour the courage and perseverance of those affected. Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect and stand in solidarity with our community. See you there!

Why we're coming together...

BC is in the 9th year of an Unregulated Drug Poisoning, with over 14,000 lives lost. Unregulated drug toxicity is now the leading cause of death for people ages 10-59 in BC. This crisis presents additional challenges for Northern communities, which has meant that Quesnel is among the hardest hit provincially. In face of this reality, our small northern community has shown incredible strength & resilience. Quesnel community members have been showing up to take care of each other and save lives. This is work that must be shared and grown to keep our community members safe, and so the rest of BC can learn from the positive impacts being made in Quesnel. Join us to hear powerful stories of care, connection, community and healing. Together, we can build on recent momentum for a safer, healthier Quesnel!

Who we are...

Northern Peer Connections is comprised of members of Quesnel's Community Action Team, a group of service providers, People With Lived/Living Experience and community members committed to keeping our people safe during this drug poisoning crisis.

Light breakfast and lunch will be provided :)
