Class Overview

This one-day class picks up where (Practical Pistol Fundamentals) left off. You should have a good basic working knowledge of your firearm.

We start to work more on our draw stroke while understanding why a proper grip is so important to getting the gun going in the direction we want in an efficient manner. We’ll also be getting better acquainted with what our sights and trigger are all about so that you are able to deliver effective rounds on target.

Prerequisites

You should have a good basic working knowledge of your firearm (practical pistol intro recommended) before signing up for this class. Call if you have questions.

Topics Covered

  • Safety
  • Draw stroke, and its importance.
  • Effective grip, presentation of the gun.
  • Acquiring proper sight alignment on target.
  • Trigger management.
  • Recoil management, for accurate, follow-on shots.
  • Malfunction clearing.

Gear Requirements

  • Semi-auto service pistol. (9mm, 40, 45, 357sig) etc.
  • 300 rounds of ammunition
  • Kydex outside-the-waistband holster and sturdy belt. .(no shoulder, cross draw, or middle of the back holsters)
  • At least two (2) magazines with a carrier
  • Electronic hearing protection
  • Eye protection
  • Ballcap
  • Snacks and hydration
