Description: Developing interactive data visualizations can be time consuming and cumbersome. In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to quickly build and share interactive visualizations in Observable notebooks and dashboards to support their data science work. Leveraging Observable Plot — a JavaScript data visualization library built on the grammar of graphics and inspired by tools like ggplot2 — participants will follow along in hands-on activities to build data visualizations that span from basic to bespoke, using real world data. Using Observable Inputs, we will quickly add interactivity to our data viz, then see how we can easily share what we've created with others to encourage collaborative data exploration and discussion.
