We're proud to be joined by special guest speaker, Matt De Boer. Matt played over 200 games of AFL, and reached two Grand Finals, but it's his off-field endeavors that promise to captivate and inspire our NBC community. In 2020 he launched Athletic Ventures, an investment syndicate for elite athletes wanting to band together and jump into the world of startup investing, and boost their knowledge about business along the way. Athletic Ventures now boasts more than 100 members, including Wallabies captain Michael Hooper, Australian NBA star Matthew Dellavedova, beach volleyball star Christie Jenkins, test cricketer Mitchell Starc, and 2022’s Australian of the Year, the tennis player Dylan Alcott. The syndicate has so far put money into the likes of burrito chain Guzman y Gomez, toilet paper producer Who Gives A Crap? and online health business Eucalyptus. We look forward to hearing Matt talk leadership, high performance, the importance of process over outcomes, values, the power of self-talk, the prioritisation of effort over talent, navigating career transitions, exploring identity, and the role of athletes in venture.

Unfortunately, we cannot facilitate on the night purchases. Due to catering and the size of the venue, ticketing must be finalised within 48 hours of the event start time.
The event is designed with an open networking format, allowing attendees to move around freely. There is no assigned seating, encouraging a dynamic and interactive atmosphere.
We will provide a selection of delicious appetisers and beverages for attendees to enjoy throughout the event. Vegetarian and vegan options will also be available.
Invite colleagues and friends! Each needs a ticket, so ensure advance registration. The event is tailored for Intra & Entrepreneurs, for your guest's enjoyment we encourage you to invite those in that field.
While there is no strict dress code, we recommend business casual attire. Feel free to dress comfortably while keeping in mind the professional and networking nature of the event.
