Come join us for a night of dancing in the dark at Mackay Northern Beaches State High School. No Lights No Lycra is the perfect event to let loose and dance like nobody's watching. With no lights, no set moves and no judgement, you can move freely and release your inner dancer.

What is your refund policy?

We do not offer a refund. However, if you are unable to attend please provide at least 24 hours notice and we will credit your dance to another day.

What do I wear?

Whatever you are comfortable wearing. Don't let the name fool you, if you like lycra - go for it. Some dancers wear sports gear others come straight from work and are wearing corporate outfits. It's up to you.

How dark is it?

It's pretty dark. You can let your hair down knowing that only your silhouette can be seen by other dancers.

Can children attend?

Due to the lack of lighting, children under the age of 12 cannot attend. There is a risk that younger children may wander and become a trip hazard to other dancers.

Is this an all abilities event?

Yes, it is. There are no stairs and the entry doorway is wheelchair friendly. If you have any specific queries regarding access please do not hesitate to message us on Facebook.

What happens if I am late?

Latecomers will not be able to access the event from 6.15pm onwards. The vibe of No Lights No Lycra relies upon a dark environment. Opening the door to latecomers lets in light and disrupts the energy of the event.
