About this event

National Reconciliation Week is a time for reflection and education. This year's theme is 'Now More Than Ever', a reminder to all of us that no matter what, the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will —and must —continue.

At CPB, our commitment towards reconciliation is not just about providing training, employment and business opportunities for First Nation Australians in the construction industry, it is about striving to build a safe work environment that sees all our people share in this commitment to equality.

As we work across lands that are traditionally owned by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, taking the time to acknowledge and show respect for their relationship with Country is important.

Our Indigenous and Social Inclusion team will be running workshops to teach you how to confidently write and deliver an Acknowledgement of Country no matter where you are. You will-

  • Develop deeper understanding of Acknowledgement of Country

  • Develop a deeper understanding of the importance of Country to Aboriginal People

  • Learn the difference between an Acknowledgement of Country and Welcome to Country

  • Develop a deadly personalised Acknowledgement of Country

Sign up to this face-to-face workshop to continue your cultural learning journey and advance reconciliation at CPB.
