About this event

The world is an overwhelming place at this time, and yet, caring for our Self is often at the bottom of our list. We might feel out of touch as we move through cycles of the day-to-day grind. Our society normalizes feeling tired and depleted, but we know that ongoing stress is harmful. Imagine that you could truly rest your mind and body for a moment. We hope you will join us.

This 90 minute healing experience will help you to:

  • connect to your emotions and intuition
  • release stress and tension
  • deepen self-awareness

What to expect:

The Music and Energy Journey will provide time and space to go inward. Laying down or seated, you will be guided into a state of relaxation then, with a specialized program of music, you will be guided on a journey in your imagination, while receiving Reiki energy. This combination of Music and Energy creates a powerful, healing synergy! Be prepared to leave with lasting insights to takeaway into your life.

Following the music program, you will have time to journal, reflect, and/or engage in drawing. Art materials will be provided.

***No previous experience with Reiki, music, or art is required to benefit from this experience.

What is Guided Imagery and Music?

Guided imagery and music (GIM) is a music-centred form of psychotherapy where clients listen to specific programs of music in a relaxed state. The music is used to evoke images, memories and feelings. With a therapist guiding the process, these elements are explored and integrated. While GIM is a psychotherapeutic method, our session will involve an adaptation of this method to provide the group with a guided imagery experience to encourage deep relaxation, curiosity, personal exploration and experiences of insight, inspiration and/or reflection.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is an energetic healing modality that originated in Japan. Reiki is a universal, spiritual energy that exists everywhere. It brings balance and relaxation to the body, while activating your innate healing potential. During a treatment, the practitioner channels the energy through their hands and hovers their hands or uses light touch to offer the energy to the receiver. Reiki can be channeled for 1:1 and group experiences, whether in-person or via distance. Everyone’s experience of Reiki is unique. During Reiki treatments, receivers may feel heat in different areas of the body, deep relaxation, tingles, or a connection to their higher self and guides. Reiki can be a catalyst for deeper healing and is complementary to other therapies and treatments, not a replacement.
