Curious about heritage breed meat birds? Wanna learn more about our regenerative agriculture practices & the local food we raise?

Join us on farm June 8th as we chat over a cup of coffee, juice & baked goods. Bring your favourite folding lawn chair & pull up a seat alongisde our mobile coops, as we observe these wonderful animals, grazing on pasture. We don't raise the typical white broiler chickens, instead opting to raise a slow-growing grazing meat bird. We love to share stories about them and our unique farm journey. Questions encouraged!

About Your Hosts:

Sarah & Marcus Riedner are first generation farmers. They purchased the farm in 2013, and seven years ago began the task of changing the farm over from commercial grain to pasture & livestock. Pastured laying hens, free-range ducks, grass-fed steers, and heritage breed KuneKune pigs now call the farm home. They custom graze cattle each year from June to October. The Riedner family love to share their story and their farm with visitors, understanding the desire to be more connected to your food & more conscious of where it comes from.

About Your Co-Hosts:

Jess & Dan are new additions to the farm this year. Their hearts & minds are fuelled by a passion to learn all they can about local food, & farming. They are living on-farm and have taken up the meat bird operation as their own for the summer, learning alongside us. We're excited for you to meet them & their meat bird flock!
