LEARN PRACTICAL TIPS & TRICKS TO WRITE WINNING TENDERS

Join us for a day of learning and networking at The Esperance Bay Yacht Club. Our Tendering Workshops are designed to help you navigate the world of bids and proposals with confidence. Moving from tendering chaos to calm is a learnt skill – and getting it right can make the difference between organisational failure and success. To help you level up, GEDC has engaged multi award-winning company BidWrite to deliver training workshops in Kalgoorlie and Esperance.

These workshops will help you understand the recipe for bidding success; providing you with practical skills and knowledge you can apply to your next tender submission and many more thereafter. By attending, you’ll learn:

  • Key insights into how buyers evaluate and shortlist for their benefit.
  • How to best prepare your business to give you a winning edge.
  • Techniques to interpret the intent behind the buyer questions.
  • The fundamentals of persuasive writing to craft more compelling submissions.
  • The secrets to align your value proposition to key buyer requirements.

PRESNTERS

BidWrite was co-founded in 2008 by long term friends David Lunn and Nigel Dennis. They have since grown the company into the largest specialist tender consultancy in the Asia Pacific region with staff and offices around Australia and in New Zealand. GEDC has secured an exclusive arrangement as both David and Nigel will run these workshops, a very rare event. Based in Perth, they have 60 years of bidding experience between them and are engaging trainers.

David Lunn:

David brings direct buyer side experience through 30 years of capital and operations procurement experience across defence, mining, oil & gas and professional service sectors. David’s broader functional and valuable 360 degree tendering view is further reinforced with engineering and business qualifications, plus professional certifications for both the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) and the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP).

The unique perspective provided by David’s in-depth knowledge of ‘both sides of the bidding fence’ sees him especially sought after for bid and capture strategy development as well as receiving regular invitations to present at industry conferences and training events – both buyer and seller side. David also applies his commercial expertise to leading BidWrite’s sales and marketing activities.

Nigel Dennis:
Nigel is an award-winning consultant in the proposal management profession in Australia and has developed a significant international reputation, presenting at eight annual world proposal management conferences since 2008. Supported with qualifications in engineering, commerce and marketing, his strengths include bid strategy, bid management, bid planning and persuasive writing.

Nigel is also a strong advocate for the bidding profession. In 2008 he founded the Australia New Zealand Chapter of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) and has served on the chapter board every year since. Nigel was the first Australian to achieve the APMP’s highest level of professional certification (CPP APMP) and in 2015 was made an International Fellow of the APMP for his outstanding contribution to the profession.
