Kereru Hill Country Walk

Experience the stunning landscape of Rural Kereru, nestled under the Ruahine Range.

Kereru School and Kereru Hall Society bring you the Kereru Hill Country Walk fundraiser, through stunning private farmland bordering the Ohara River. The walk is a fantastic way to experience the impressive landscapes of Rural Hawke's Bay, with views extending as far as the eye can see over the region (Te Mata Peak on a fine day).

The Kereru Hill Country Walk will be a 15km loop across rolling farmland, and steep country, with 360-degree vantage points. There will also be a 10km loop as a shorter option which will be sign-posted on the day.

You will need a good level of fitness, good walking or trail shoes, walking poles, if you have them, warm clothing, and a backpack containing extra snacks and water. There will be a delicious homemade packed lunch included.

At the end of the walk, there will be a BBQ and some refreshments available for sale. Cash only please.

NO DOGS PLEASE - As this is a working farm, please leave your beloved pets at home.
