Mission

To learn the basic concepts of information modeling, participate in fun activities at the farm like enjoying tea and dessert served in fine china, learning how to change a flat tire, and harvesting organic vegetables and flowers in the garden to take home.

About Socorro Chinnick

Socorro Chinnick is educated in Industrial Engineering and proficient in business systems analysis and information architecture with 25+ years in I.T. consulting with the government and the banking industry. She and her husband moved from Mississauga to Norfolk County in 2019 to start a journey in sustainable farming and ecotourism with Dancing Pig Farms. Socorro is also a singer-songwriter. Her songs have themes of love and social justice.

Tea and Dessert (Sophisticated)

Enjoy a sophisticated activity of drinking tea (served in vintage fine china, teacups, saucers, and teapots) and dessert while enjoying the beauty of the garden.

Change a Flat Tire (Empowered)

Learn how to change a flat tire, something that is useful if you ever run into a situation where you get a flat tire in a remote area with no cellphone and no CAA. It is empowering to be in control of circumstances, good or bad.

Pick Your Own Veggies and Flowers (Resilient)

Enjoy the experience of picking fresh organic vegetables and flowers. Be captivated by the butterflies, songbirds, crickets, fresh country air, surrounding trees, and the beauty, colour, and bounty of fruits and blooms. Nature gives us resiliency to build a strong body, mind, heart, and soul.

Our farm is located 2 hours from Toronto, 1 1/2 hours from Hamilton, 1 hour from London, 45 minutes from Brantford, 45 minutes from Woodstock, 30 minutes from Simcoe, 30 minutes from Tillsonburg, 15 minutes from Langton, 30 minutes from Port Dover, 20 minutes from Delhi, 35 minutes from Waterford, and 12 minutes from Port Rowan. But despite the distance from major cities, it's worth coming to our farm, the experience is unique and envigorating. Norfolk County also offers the best in tourism - beautiful beaches, camping, biking, kayaking, birding, hiking, wineries and breweries, farmers markets, restaurants, ziplining, glamping, dirt track racing, county fairs, small town charm, Friday the 13th at Port Dover, etc.
